Midnight Onyx - Competition Cup
The Inspiration: Drawing inspiration from the legendary Yōhen Tenmoku (曜变天目) bowls of the Song dynasty, Midnight Onyx bridges a thousand years of Eastern aesthetics into contemporary coffee ware.
The Craft: Through the transformative, unpredictable power of the kiln, the glaze shifts dynamically in layers from pale blue to deep indigo before dissolving into rich black—resembling starlight drifting across the night sky. Each cup reveals its own unique glaze formation.
The Sensory Experience: Bringing quiet radiance and tranquility to every coffee moment, the deep black interior creates a dramatic visual focus on coffee cream and rich brown extractions. Its dense ceramic construction delivers superior thermal stability, making it the ultimate choice for rich espressos, chocolatey roasts, or heavy-bodied coffee lots.
Porcelain / Made in China
Since it is handmade, each cup is not exactly the same. Imperfection is another kind of beauty. It should be understood. The cup may have tiny bumps or pores. This is due to the characteristics of porcelain and different production conditions or production processes. Please note that this is not a defect.
Hand washing is recommended.
Do not use chemical cleaners such as soap or detergent after cleaning. After cleaning, dry the water with a soft cotton cloth. Do not rinse or dry in a dishwasher at high temperatures.Avoid moisture and direct sunlight during storage.
